Logar Valley & Mozirje Flower Park

Excursion to the spectacular Logarska dolina, one of Slovenia's most beautiful glacial valleys, surrounded by mountains, meadows, and traditional farms. We'll stroll through this natural environment and admire the impressive Slap Rinka waterfall. We continue to Mozirski gaj, a charming flower park full of color, bridges, and romantic spots, perfect for enjoying a peaceful walk in nature.

Valle de Logar

Discover two of the most picturesque corners of northern Slovenia on a tour that combines alpine landscapes and meticulously landscaped gardens.

The Logar Valley (Logarska dolina in Slovenian) is one of Slovenia's most beautiful alpine valleys. It's located in the north of the country, in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, near the Austrian border. The valley is part of a protected landscape park, meaning its natural environment is exceptionally well-preserved.

The tour begins in the stunning Logar Valley, one of Europe's most beautiful glacial valleys, nestled in the heart of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. Surrounded by towering mountains, verdant meadows, and fresh air, we'll enjoy a scenic walk through this protected natural setting. Along the way, we'll admire traditional wooden farmhouses and, weather permitting, visit the spectacular Slap Rinka waterfall, one of the Logar Valley's iconic landmarks.

Nature and landscape

The valley is about 7 kilometers long and surrounded by high mountains, forests, and alpine meadows. It is a typical example of a glacial valley, formed during the last ice age. In spring and summer, the landscape is filled with wildflowers and green pastures, while in winter it is blanketed in snow.

One of the valley's most famous landmarks is Rinka Waterfall, one of the tallest in Slovenia (about 90 meters). The Savinja River also originates here and flows through much of the country.

The excursion continues to Mozirski gaj, a beautiful flower park along the Savinja River. This garden is known for its colorful flower arrangements, small bridges, traditional mills, and themed displays that change with the seasons. It's an ideal place for a leisurely stroll, taking photographs, and enjoying a relaxed atmosphere.
